Main Function

Responsible for planning, organizing, and general management of all administrative and clinical functions (in conjunction with the Radiologists, Neurologists, Pulmonologists, and Cardiologists) for the Radiology Department, Cardiology testing, Neurodiagnostic, and Respiratory Department.  Coordinates daily departmental activities, assumes responsibility for professional and support staff, and maintains standards of quality and performance improvement; plans, directs, and supervises all technical aspects of all areas of responsibility in regard to services, programs, and evaluations of such programs; responsible for the day-to-day operations of all areas supervised within a union environment.  Include inpatient and outpatient services in Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, C.T. Scan, M.R.I., Interventional Radiology, Cardiology Testing, Holter Monitor, Respiratory Therapy, Pulmonary Rehab, and Pulmonary Function Testing. Also provides oversite of Radiology Services at Big Flats Surgery Center.

 

Education

Graduate of 24-month Radiologic Technology program in an American Medical Association approved school.

Must be registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist meeting the requirements of ARRT.

BS or BA Degree with a major health related field or Radiologic Technology-Imaging Science, master’s degree or CRA Certification through the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators required.

Experience

Minimum of 5 or more years of previous Radiology management experience in an accredited hospital Radiology/Imaging Department. Broad experience in more than one modality or systems information’s specialist highly considered

Minimum 2 years of knowledge of PACS or RIS System Administration

Familiar with departmental budgets, policies, and administrative procedures
