This position is part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This is a dual role. The individual will operate in either the Telemetry Tech or Care Partner role depending on unit needs. Responsible for monitoring the cardiac monitors to identify, record, and report normal and abnormal heart rhythms. Responsible for clerical duties, communication, and reception duties. In addition, works with other members of the team to provide direct patient care to specific populations. The employee will maintain competency for population specific groups with consideration of physical, communication, safety, nutrition, and psychosocial needs.
High school grad or equivalent
2 years of experience providing patient care in an acute care setting is preferred.
Prior experience monitoring and interpreting EKG rhythm preferred.
Must be knowledgeable in the use of computers.
EKG training will be provided. The individual must successfully demonstrate competency in basic EKG interpretation.
