While licensure, certification, or registration is not required, it is highly preferred that this position hold advanced training or certification from an accrediting body such as AHRA (American Hospital Radiology Administrators), CRA (Certified Radiology Administrator), or ACHE (American College of Healthcare Executives).  Fellowed in any one of these highly preferred.

Main Function

The Senior Director, Radiology Service Line, provides leadership for clinical, administrative, operational, and physician relationship activities in support of the assigned service line. The position will direct the services at RPH and manage the provision of Radiology services across the system. This position will work across the boundaries of TGC to assure the continuity and effective integration of strategy and operations achieving the defined key performance indicators. This position collaborates with physicians, hospitals, community providers, key Guthrie Leaders, and other service providers to enhance service delivery to patients in the continuum of care. Service areas and managers reporting to the Senior Director, Radiology Service Line, whether directly or through matrix reporting structure, include: RPH Radiology Manager, Corning Hospital Radiology Manager, Troy Hospital Radiology Manager, Towanda Memorial Radiology Manager, Regional Radiology Supervisor, Radiation Safety, Imaging Informatics Manager, and Mobile Imaging Services.
Areas of responsibility include, Service Line Responsibility for Radiology to include, Radiology Administration, Radiation Safety, Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and Imaging Informatics.


Thorough knowledge of business operations in a healthcare setting typically attained by achieving a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other relevant field, or a Bachelors Degree in combination with proven leadership experience.


• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of operational leadership in a healthcare setting characterized by progressively expanding scope and responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading initiatives that have impact across the organization.
• Experience in healthcare administration in a large and complex setting.
• Strong entrepreneurial skills
• Clear understanding of physician issues
• Experience in radiology field in a hospital setting
