Main Function

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will work as part of the Enterprise Information Management team, turning data into knowledge. In this role, you will design and develop information assets across the corporation from reports to dashboards, and self-service BI and analytics capabilities. You should have a strong background in data and business analysis. We are looking for a problem-solving aptitude, an analytical thinker and excellent communication skills. As a BI Developer, you will have responsibility for various aspects of the design and development of Business Intelligence solutions including requirements gathering, logical and physical design, data modeling, UI/UX, ETL development, SQL development, unit testing, deployment, report creation, administering and maintaining reporting tools, and dashboard creation utilizing Qlik Sense or other BI visualization tools to meet the data and analytic needs of The Guthrie Clinic.

Education

Bachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a technical, business or related field, Masters degree preferred

Experience

3-5 years of experience with relational databases and data modeling. 

Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts

2-4 years of overall business intelligence design and development experience.

1-2 years of experience in data visualization (design and development). 

Knowledge of data visualization techniques and experience developing and deploying dashboards using Qlik Sense or other data visualization tools (such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI) 

Software programming/coding experience a plus

Statistical analysis experience preferred (Knowledge of SAS, Python, R or other statistical analysis software)

Epic certifications in Clarity/Caboodle Data Model (Certifications will be required within first year as a condition of employment)
