The Part-Time Development Assistant works closely with the Manager of Resource Development to ensure the high-performance operation of Guthrie Resource Development. Responsibilities include recording and acknowledging donations in Blackbauds Raisers Edge; donor and prospect correspondence; processing fund- and grant-related disbursements and requests;; maintaining and updating the donor database and client records; responding to donor and colleague inquiries; assisting department staff with projects/duties as assigned; general administrative and logistics support. The Part-Time Development Assistant reports to the Manager of Resource Development.
AAS. in Finance, Accounting, Business, Nonprofit Administration or related field preferred. Will consider a candidate with the equivalent knowledge with a minimum of two years of experience.
One or more years of experience in a related field required. General or working knowledge of fund raising activities preferred. Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs including experience with Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with database systems required with donor database experience, specifically Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, preferred. Understanding of general accounting principles preferred.
Must be a self-motivated, highly-organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and integrity. Attention to detail critical to maintaining professionally-run operations. Diplomatic skills required to successfully work with internal clients and donors. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Lifelong learner.
