As auxiliary member of the Guthrie Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, the per diem dietitian works under the general direction of the Clinical Coordinator and in accordance with the team plan of care. He or she uses knowledge of dietetics to evaluate, establish and implement individual plans of nutrition appropriate for patients with advanced disease. In addition, provides consultation and education to the interdisciplinary team members.
Graduate of an accredited dietetic curriculum. Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association, or has equivalent education, training and experience.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the principalities, concepts, and methodology required of a clinical dietitian in nutrition and its’ practical application in the care of the terminally ill patient. Pennsylvania driver’s license and availability of dependable transportation. Demonstrated ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team.
