Main Function
The Vice President, Pharmacy Services is responsible for the oversight and operation of pharmacy departments within the market, including directing, planning, and coordinating clinical, operational, and administrative aspects. The scope includes all pharmacy related functions in the hospitals, clinics, retail pharmacies, oncology centers, specialty pharmacies, residency programs, and 340B programs. Direct responsibility for the Robert Packer Hospital Department of Inpatient Pharmacy.
The Vice President, Pharmacy Services has a direct reporting relationship to the EVP, Chief Quality Officer, with matrix accountability to respective hospital presidents and clinical operations leaders within the market.
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
Master of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or PharmD required.
Masters in Health Care or Business Administration strongly preferred.
Experience
- Five (5) years of experience as pharmacy manager in acute care setting to include:
- Experience with pharmacy dispense automation.
- Relevant knowledge and skills with managing pharmacy budgets.

- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Relevant knowledge and skills with managing pharmaceutical kinetics and drug therapy monitoring.
- Strong business, financial, and operational acumen.
- Proven assessment, internal consulting, team facilitation, change management, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning and organizational effectiveness.
- High degree of emotional intelligence.
