Main Function
The nuclear medicine technologist prepares and administers radioactive isotopes to patients, in specialized studies of body organs and/or laboratory analysis. They also provide technical support to other nuclear medicine professionals and Physicians in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients, for nuclear therapeutic or imaging purposes
Education
High School and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. AAS degree preferred.
Certification required; ARRT(R), Advanced certification (ARRT(N)) or NMTCB preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three months preferred. Registered technologist in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital.
