Is responsible for the collection and compiling of specific clinical findings and medical information from the EPIC research chart then entering the data into the protocol specific electronic data system. The data entry of compiled information will be reviewed by research personnel and auditors for accuracy and completeness. It is very important to understand medical terminology, follow medical care over time and determine errors or missing information. Exercise integrity to protect patient and research confidentiality.
Medical Office Associates Degree or Certificate preferred or previous medical abstraction experience; will accept High school diploma with data entry experience.
Candidate must exhibit analytical skills, possess strong computer skills and have a high attention to details. Communication skills, both written and oral are essential as candidate will need to interact with physicians and other employees.
