Responsible for preparation of quality food for patients/residents, associates, and guests using standardized recipes and production sheets. Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure safe and sanitary food production. Responsible for supervision of shift employees to include the planning and supervision of patient food assembly and service, scheduling, training, and performance of patient food service personnel. Ensures patient satisfaction and good public relations are achieved through safe and efficient use of resources.
High School graduate or equivalent
Must have three to five years training and experience in quality/quantity preparation, and follow the proper methods and cooking temperatures for utilization of meals and other foods. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret bar graphs. Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate an automated food production system and a standard computer, including proficient use of MS applications such as Excel and Word. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be ServSafe certified in one year of date of hire.
