The Orthopedic Services Coordinator is a care coordinator and advocate for the Orthopedic patient by optimizing and improving patient, physician, organizational, and community clinical quality, service quality, and quality outcomes by providing consistent and timely care with in the Guthrie Healthcare System. The Orthopedic Coordinator is to provide clinical leadership expertise by contributing to the strategic planning of the day-to-day operations involving the peri-operative process, pre-operative process, and aftercare of the orthopedic patient. The Orthopedic Coordinator promotes a climate for effective performance while allocating available resources to promote safe, efficient, effective, and quality care regarding the needs of the patient.
The Orthopedic Services Coordinator must be a currently registered nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Applicants must possess a BSN or be actively pursuing degree.
The Candidate must have a minimum of one year nursing experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated abilities in leadership. Computer literacy is also a requirement. Candidates must be able to demonstrate and articulate strong understanding of clinical and operational components of Orthopedics.
