Main Function

The Radiology Manager is responsible for the overall management and general operations of Radiology Services at Robert Packer Hospital. The Radiology Manager works collaboratively with the Chairman of Radiology and department Radiologists to ensure optimal Radiology services that comply with all regulatory guidelines. In addition, the Radiology Manager works in close collaboration with the Radiology Service Line Leader to align and coordinate Robert Packer Hospital Radiology processes, projects and initiatives within the strategic vision of Guthrie Health Radiology.


Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology-Imaging Sciences training in an ARRT approved school; registered with the ARRT in good standing required; BS or BA Degree with a major health related field or Radiologic Technology-Imaging Science is required, Masters Degree or CRA Certification through the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators highly considered.


Minimum of five (5) years of previous Radiology management experience in an accredited hospital Radiology/Imaging Department.  Broad experience in more than one modality or systems information’s specialist highly considered.  The position also requires five (5) or more years of related technical and healthcare project management experience including at least two years of knowledge with PACS or RIS System Administration experience.  Familiar with departmental budgets, policies and administrative procedures.  Excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of radiology workflow.Should have sufficient administrative ability to assist in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the clinical activities of the Radiology Department.  Strong working knowledge of PACS to include, but not be limited to, Microsoft Windows Server, disk storage arrays, disk and tape archiving systems, data communications protocols, DICOM, HL-7, PC’s, printers, and peripheral equipment. Experience working with HIPAA and other governmental regulations regarding access, distributions and long term storage of Diagnostic images. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people, build relationships and consensus, work well under pressure, and on concurrent multidisciplinary projects. Excellent written/oral communications skills required.
