RN - Dual Licensure (PA and NY)
Performs anticoagulation studies in a highly structured environment by collecting specimens, taking vital signs, and patient history. Assessment of anticoagulation report and medication adjustment based on standardized protocols and algorithms. Collaboration with medical director on new patient referrals, risk assessment scoring, and bridging therapy requirements. Documents, reviews and enters all patient data in the electronic medical record including medication review. Provides ongoing patient education and counseling. Generates reports to providers. Assists patients with medication management. Job requires proficiency in mathematics and the ability to convert milligrams per week into number of pills per day. Strong pharmaceutical knowledge.
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. Nurses hired who have not earned a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, will be required to do so within five (5) years from their date of hire.
Experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Should possess working of technical policies and procedures relevant to performing tests in a regulated environment. Should be proficient in clerical duties, organizing workload and computer skills. Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills required. Job requires proficiency in mathematics and the ability to convert milligrams per week into number of pills per day and strong pharmaceutical knowledge.
