The Senior Managed Care Analyst supports the Managed Care department in fulfilling all managed care activities as assigned for the facility, ancillary and physician providers supported by the Managed Care department. This position is responsible for utilizing Guthrie’s Decision Support, Patient Accounting Systems, Meditract and other systems as necessary to retreive and analize data in a timely and accurate manner to support the functions of the managed care department. The Senior Managed Care Analyst is responsible for preparation and verification of the detailed and summary models used to support managed care contract negotiations with payers. Additionally, the Senior Managed Care Analyst is responsible for payer-specific reporting and analysis of healthcare industry trends including the impact of government regulations. The Senior Managed Care Analyst will perform routine and special payment audits to ensure payer compliance with contract provisions. The Senior Managed Care Analyst will complete special projects as directed. The Senior Managed Care Analyst will strive to improve all work-related skills, adhere to all department and corporate policies and act in a professional and courteous manner when representing the department both internally and externally. This position will work cooperatively with and support other analysts within the health system.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business-related field
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business-related field AND at least two years of healthcare finance or other related experience including decision support systems and/or other hospital finance systems used to extract data (preferred)
Commensurate analytic experience in healthcare finance, decision support or managed care contacting analytics with extraordinary systems capabilities.
