The Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) is a professional position interfacing with family units in a personalized manner through home visitation. This position will be trained in the Nurse-Family Partnership model, which trains NHVs on skills such as clear, concise communication and how to empower families to provide safe, nurturing, healthy environment for their child. This individual develops a long-tern, trusting relations with families with an emphasis on client-centered, strength-based services and goals directed to produce positive family outcomes.
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program.
Candidate must possess two years recent experience in maternal and/or child health or public health or mental/behavioral nursing with children and families. Home visiting experience preferred.
