Must be licensed (or eligible for) in Pennsylvania.
Current CPR certification is mandated
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of speech/swallowing therapy modalities and treatment as referred by appropriate referral source. Administers treatments as prescribed by a referring provider in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning in respect to communication and swallowing.
Must be a graduate of an approved school with a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology
The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of an accredited school with a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Current licensure in the state of primary practice is required. Current dual licensure in New York and Pennsylvania is preferred. Certificate of Clinical Competency is preferred however a Clinical Fellowship Year candidate may be considered. Education/experience in working with pediatric, adult and geriatric population with communication disabilities and or dysphagia is preferred.
