Troy Community Hospital
Troy Community Hospital Nursing Unit is a 25 bed unit with all private rooms all with private bathrooms which allows optimal healing, efficient communication, and privacy. The unit provides patient/fmaily centered care. Our goals is to create an environment that promotes safety, comfort, exceptional outcomes, and efficiency.
Provide high quality nursing care for assigned patients in a scientific and humanistic focus. The Troy Community Hospital Staff Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes a holistic systems approach to protect and promote client wellness and safety in the physiological, psychological, social-cultural, developmental and spiritual domains. Nursing interventions are interdisciplinary, age specific and are directed toward optimal wellness.
The staff nurse must be a graduate nurse eligible to take the state board examination or a registered nurse currently licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and must successfully complete an IV medication challenge examination as outlined by the hospital within the orientation period. In addition, the staff registered nurse must meet individual nursing unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment. Must maintain CPR certification and practice. ACLS within one year of hire.
Graduate nurses enter a planned medical-surgical orientation program or a specialty program as outlined by the hospital.
Registered nurses licensed in Pennsylvania with current nursing care experience enter an orientation program outlined by the hospital for the appropriate nursing unit.
