Main Function

Responsible for the operational implementation and workflow performance of Epic PB, IDX BAR and Epic Cash Application systems.  Works closely with Epic IT to ensure claim logic remains in regulatory compliance.  Performs analytical and reporting of revenue cycle data to designated departments.  Participates in system processes and project management.  Using multi-application knowledge, performs needs assessments and actively participates in the development, implementation and enhancement of all Guthrie Medical Group PC’s chosen business systems.  Provides consultation and dedicated system support for all departments of the Business Office. Serves as a liaison between the IT department and the PB end user community. 


Associates degree in Business (or similar degree) with concentration in Finance or Healthcare Information Systems Management preferred.  High school diploma and CPC accreditation coupled with 5 years proven experience considered. 


Minimum 5 years in demonstrated business applications experience in a complex health care environment or the equivalent experience is required.  Knowledge of insurance billing and coding required.  Experienced user of Excel, Word and database applications.  Epic knowledge is a must.  Ability to multi-task, set priorities and implement projects.  Ability to listen and research the end user needs and use this knowledge to develop/enhance systems and processes.  Strong organizational and customer service skills are a must to deal with both vendors and internal customers.
