Main Function

To support The Guthrie Clinic enterprise in architecture, planning, acquisition, installation, management, and problem determination of computer networks with emphasis on infrastructure/telecommunications (LAN/WAN) technology. Coordinates, monitors, and implements technical projects.  Responsible for project management and supervision of direct technical reports in both the Networking group as well as Telecommunications. Technical evolution of core network infrastructure is primary function. Vision and motivation are key.

Education

Formal Education & Certification

Additional technical experience may be substituted for up to two years of the educational requirement.  Experience must be work directly related to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting network equipment such as routers, bridges, switches, hubs, terminal servers, and modems.  Must be familiar with network protocols such as LAT, IPX, and TCP/IP.  Knowledge of Windows network operating systems required. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a service orientation. Cisco experience preferred.

 

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or related field, and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
  • One or more network certifications is preferred.
