Pharmacist - PA
Responsible for the pharmaceutical care of Memorial Hospital patients. Evaluates and monitors drug therapy for appropriateness, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Processes medication orders and dispenses accurate and timely pharmaceutical preparations to inpatients, ancillary patient care departments, and employees. Serves as a drug information source and performs clinical functions. Staff pharmacist supervises and directs support personnel.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) with a license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
Experience in institutional practice is desirable, however, is not required. Must be self-directed, motivated, and capable of supervising supportive personnel. Must possess a strong data base and exercise sound professional judgment. Able to assess and make decisions regarding patient’s drug therapy. Demonstrates high degree of accuracy and strong techniques in sterile compounding. Independently manages area of responsibility, prioritizing activities, and supervising supportive personnel. Possesses strong organizational and communication skills. Able to work as a team member and foster good customer relations. Responds positively and effectively during busy, stressful periods.
