Main Function

Responsible for providing mental health services to clients, including making assessments, referring  when appropriate, counseling, education, acting as a community resource liaison, offering assistance to family members when appropriate, coordinating family meetings and following up with clients.   


Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required.


At least two years working directly with psychiatric patients in either an inpatient or outpatient setting required.  Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information in a tactful and diplomatic manner Ability to deal with stressful situations Excellent interpersonal skills. General knowledge of office machines. Strong communications, organizational and facilitation skills  Excellent writing skills Excellent problem solving skills Computer skills Strong customer service skills Ability to write brief, understandable client progress notes
